Look Ma, I’m Blogging!

(In this blog Jim Allen Jackson shares his thoughts on technology.)

Through the years I have found most people have something in their lives that they resist. It can be anything from age to intimacy. We all resist things for different reasons. Many of us even resist some form of technology. For me I have figured out resisting technology is like resisting breathing air. It’s not like its going away, and resisting it is really working against yourself. Why look at me Ma, I’m blogging. Like how I subtlety threw my own title into my own blog. Genius total genius. As my actor friend John Keating, member of The Actors’ Network and star of the independent film Night Before the Wedding, put it, “You can lead a horse to water, but a pencil must be lead!” Oh… wait, that wasn’t John Keating, that was Stan Laurel. Oh yes… John said, “The way to avoid the old saying, you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, is to never to become an old dog.” So to all those new pups out there, “Here’s to technology.”

Thanks for reading my blog! Until next time, be kind to yourself, have fun, and live you dream!
